The Recipe for a Financially Independent Woman

When I read this post by Crispy Doc, I knew I had to share it. Comparing the process of achieving financial independence by combining ingredients in a recipe is a genius concept! It makes sense, and you’ll see why below.

It’s a slow recipe that takes oh say roughly ten years (give or take five years) ;)

As for the ingredients that you’ll need, ladies, there’s the skill to maintain a budget, the ability to work hard, the goal to save money in a high-interest rate account, and don’t forget several cups of patience too! Also, if you have a partner (an optional ingredient), this person must support your monetary goals.

The recipe is for a sweet dish. It involves banking funds with aggressive savings rates, set to the risk tolerance temperature you are comfortable with, and it requires plenty of motivation on your part as the chef. Becoming a financially independent woman can involve burning a few dishes here and there before you end up with a delicious retirement stew.

If you’re ready to get out your measuring cups and fill your financial pots with the right fixings, then call me to see how we can cook one heck of a recipe to land you in the desirable situation of being monetarily stable. Let’s turn up the heat on this recipe together!
